How to Wash Your Face Mask
We recommend you hand wash your facemask in a 1-gallon ziplock style bag with approximately 1 quart of hot water with an appropriate amount of disinfectant. Allow masks to soak for at least 10 minutes and then remove the masks thoroughly rinse and hang to dry. Hand washing drastically extends the life of the mask and the aluminum adjustable nose piece and also prevents the fabric ties from becoming entangled with other items in the machine wash and stretching or tearing your mask.
How to Dry Your Face Mask After Washing
Once the washable mask is sanitized and rinsed then it is suggested that the mask be hung to dry. By hanging mask to dry this helps prevent the adjustable nose piece on a mask from being damaged by a tumbling dryer. The 4 behind the head fabric ties can also become tangled if the user dries their face mask in a tumble dryer. Because of the fabric choice masks typically dry with a couple of hours and certainly will be dry if left to hang overnight.
Extend the Life of Your Mask
Follow the above instructions to extend the life of your investment. This mask is not a replacement for an approved mask but when cared for properly you can use this mask for month after month. Economically a reusable mask is superior to a throw-away product because, at $1.00 per day for a disposable, this mask starts saving you money in just 2 weeks.
